Problems with app.yaml

To realise the Zomdir project (later I will tell you more about the project itself), I thought I have to program it with Python.

One of the ways to publish a Python application is with Google App Engine. One of the things to start with is to configure the Python Application with an app.yaml file.

Beside static files, error files and so on I need a few webpages (URL's) programmed in Python. These pages are:
1. index.html
2. upload.html

To achieve this my app.yaml file contains the following code:

application: zomdir
version: 1
runtime: python
api_version: 1

# The root URL (/) is handled by the index.py script. No other URLs match this pattern.
- url: /
  script: index.py

# The URL /index.html is also handled by the index.py script.
- url: /index\.html
  script: index.py

# The URL /upload/.* is for uploading new information
- url: /upload/.*
  script: upload.py

# All other URLs use the not_found.py script.
- url: /.*
  script: not_found.py

http://localhost:8081 is working fine, but http://localhost:8081/index.html and http://localhost:8081/upload/index.html gives me a message from google that this link is not working.

I'm puzzled and don't understand what's wrong with this file.
